- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
Frosting
- 24 tablespoons (3 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 3/4 cups (7 ounces) confectioners’ sugar
- 12 ounces (2 2/3 cups) Fluff brand marshmallow crème
- 2 tablespoons hazelnut liqueur
- 6 ounces bittersweet bar chocolate
Instructions:
Step 1: Grind the hazelnuts with their skins until a fine powder in a food processor.
Step 2: Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground nuts in a medium bowl.
Step 3: Make an egg batter with the oil, water, and egg yolks. Mix in the vanilla and cream of tartar.
Step 4: Combine all gluten-free Swiss hazelnut cake mixture components, and then add it to an electric mixer fitted with the whisk attachment. Mix on medium speed for 5-7 minutes or until the batter is light and fluffy.
