- 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup buttermilk or dairy-free alternative
For the Frosting:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2-3 tablespoons milk or dairy-free alternative
Preheat Your Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch round cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper for easy removal.
